Runners of all abilities are invited to join in the fun, whether you choose the flat 5km course—perfect for a single lap—or challenge yourself with the 10km option that takes you around the scenic route twice.
The series spans four months, with events also held in May, July, and August, making it the highlight of the summer for local running enthusiasts. Kids aged 4 to 14 can participate in the exciting 2km run, which occurs just before the adult races, ensuring a family-friendly atmosphere. New for 2025, early bird pricing in February and the return of metal medals add even more excitement! So lace up your running shoes, gather your friends and family, and get ready to make unforgettable memories at this fantastic summer series!

THE series of the summer!
The summer really isn't complete at Barnes Fitness without our infamous 5km & 10km Summer Series and we are SO excited to bring it back for the 13th year.
The THIRD Thursday of May, June, July and SECOND Thursday in August - Dinton Pastures is the place to be.
A friendly series over 4 months of 5km/10km and 2km kids run around Dinton Pastures, welcoming runners of ALL abilities. You don't have to run all events in the series to be a "Series Runner" - but it is better value for money if you enter the whole series in advance, and it makes you more likely to show up!!!!
The course is a lovely off-road, traffic-free route around Dinton Pastures Country Park, near Reading. 5km option is a 1 lap course, 10km option you go round the course twice!! Either way, it’s pancake flat and if you enter more than one race you’ve a great chance of seeing your course record come down month by month!
The kids 2km race (open to those aged 4 - 14), held 30 minutes prior to the start of the 5km/10km race is an out and back course with children always in sight of a marshal.
