The race kicks off in the historic Crichton grounds, leading participants along the scenic Bankend road towards the iconic Caerlaverock Castle. Runners will be treated to spectacular vistas of the Solway Firth and Criffel Hill as they make their way towards Glencaple. The course follows the beautiful banks of the River Nith, culminating in a triumphant finish back at the enchanting Crichton Campus. Organiser's Description

This race, now in its 37th year, sees runners of all levels enjoy spectacular scenery and stunning views. Starting in the historic Crichton grounds, the route heads along the Bankend road towards Caerlaverock Castle, turning right towards Glencaple to enjoy a great view of the Solway Firth and Criffel Hill. The race follows the banks of the River Nith to finish within the grounds of the famous Crichton Campus.
