Organiser's Description

The race 2nd in the four season challenge it is a 6 hour challenge each lap is 4.38 miles. Complete as many loops as you wish within the time limit. Run one lap, a half marathon, a marathon or an ultra!

The course is as flat as you can get with virtually no elevation, so if you’re looking for a fast half marathon ,marathon or Ultra this is for you, or if you want a easy paced race then that’s also up to you.

Our moto is ” It’s Your Pace”. We want you to enjoy your running.

What's Included

1) A really special custom made medal.

2) A goody bag at the finish, which has goodies in, not a bunch of adverts.

3) A well stocked base camp with plenty of nibbles and refreshments to keep you fuelled during the Challenge.

Parking

There is plenty of parking, but the country park has a Pay and Display £3 for over 3 hours. I will keep the information up to date if prices change ( you are not permitted to park on the road leading up to the country park)

FAQs

Do you have secure baggage facilities ?
No but you’re free to leave bags at the start/finish. There will always be someone around but we can’t guarantee their security. You’ll be able to park close to the start/finish don’t forget to pay for your pay and display ticket.

Can I leave my own drinks/food at the aid station?
Yes no problem at all, we have a dedicated table for runners own supplies if they have anything special that they’d like to bring along.

Trail or road shoes
Road shoes should be fine

Is the course closed to the public?
No. We are on a public country park. Runners do not have the right of way and need to be considerate of other users of the Park. Please don’t litter. We’ll have a bin at the base camp, please use this and there are several bins on the route too.

Are there any facilities at the start/finish area?
We will have a range of snacks & water for runners on a table. There will be toilets outside open from 8.00am and inside toilets inside the café from 10:00am . There is also a good café with plenty of seating and a good range of food.

Can I use an I-pod or mp3 player on the course?
Yes. Though please be aware that you are running on public footpaths with the general public so make sure that you pay attention to course marshals, traffic, people, children on bikes, wildlife and so on.

how it works

You will be given a laminated card and cable tie to attach to you which must be hole punched each lap.
1 Lap = 4.38miles
3 Laps = Half Marathon
6 Laps = Marathon
7 Laps = Ultra

When your finished ring the bell in HQ, you will be awarded a time. every lap to keep a total of your laps.

Race packs will be available from 8:30am.
You’ll pick this up on race day morning from the race base camp.

time limits

Six hours to run as many laps as you want in the time limit. You can finish at any time within the 6 hours and your final distance will be recorded along with your finishing time. Only completed laps within the 6 hours will be recorded or you must have left the aid station for your last lap by 15.30pm .. As long as you finish one lap then you’ll receive an official finish time, medal and goody bag. With timed events there are no DNFs – everyone is a winner
