Organiser's Description
A series of 4 evening aquathlons, starting and finishing at the Chester Riverside Canoe Club Jetty. An open-water river swim in the River Dee, with an Australian style exit at the end of the first lap to make things a little more interesting (swim one lap, exit using the swim ramp then dive straight back in off the other side of the swim ramp to start the second lap); a flat two lap off-road run around Chester Meadows. Our aim is to accommodate anyone and everyone. Great friendly and social event whether you are new to triathlon or a seasoned athlete.
If a 2 lap swim and 2 lap run is a bit daunting, we have added a one lap version to cater for a wider range of experience and ability. It does mean you miss out on the Australian exit excitement, but you do still get to jump, dive or slide gracefully into the water at the start.
