Organiser's Description

Are you ready to challenge yourself and trek the length of Hadrian's wall, covering 84 miles of stunning landscapes in just 3 days?

This is an arduous challenge and not for everybody. You'll be averaging a marathons distance a day, a good level of fitness and desire to push yourself will be required

What is Endurance Trekking?

Endurance trekking participants aim to trek long distances whilst carrying all the equipment you will need to sustain yourself for 24hrs. Inc tent, sleeping bag, clothes and food. (Baggage transfer option available)

All treks are fully supported by the Endurotrek team with regular check points and pre designated campsites with hot showers and amenities at the end of each day.

There are 3 entry categories

1. Enjoy (no minimum weight/ carrying clothing/water/food with *baggage transfer for additional equipment)

2. Endeavour - 10kg minimum weight + food & water (Participants will carry a minimum weight of 10kg + Food and water)

3.Endure - 15kg minimum weight + food & water (Participants will carry a minimum weight of 15kg + Food and water)

Note: Backpack weight to be made up of the items on the packing list

Starting at Bowness on Solway, you will embark on a challenging 84-mile (135 km) journey along the historic Hadrian's Wall. This ancient Roman fortification at the North West tip of the empire offers breathtaking views and a chance to traverse its history.

Prepare for a thrilling experience as you traverse rugged terrains, picturesque countryside, and pass fascinating archaeological sites along the way

Is it a race?

The Hadrians Wall multi-day event, is a challenge. There is no official winner, the completion of the challenge in itself is the win!

Challenge objective

Your aim will be to be as self sufficient as possible, carrying all kit and equipment you'll need for the day ahead inc: Camping equipment, clothes, food and water

Do I have to carry my equipment/backpack?

Kit carrying is optional. Alternatively you can use our baggage transfer service and have your equipment i.e tent, sleeping bag, additional clothing transported to the next campsite each day

Is the route sign-posted?

The Hadrians Wall path is a national trail (One of 16 across the UK). It is way-marked and sign posted throughout. Additionally you will pass through checkpoints and our team will be at designated places along the route. (See route and daily finish points in the Agenda section)

Where will I stay?

Every evening will be spent at a campsite along the route, offering warm showers, washing facilities, toilets, food, refreshments and camping pitches

How will I be supported?

Our support team will be staffing checkpoints along the entire route, with first aid stations and drinks/snacks available at all checkpoints.

At the end of each day, a designated campsite will provide the location to rest and recover before the next days eventing

Will there be checkpoints?

Every 5-7 miles (Around 10k) there will be staffed checkpoints, offering medical care, light snacks and refreshments

What will I get for completing the challenge?

All challenge participants will receive a stylish challenge t-shirt & medal
