Course Details

An intricate and varied off-road route, taking in 6 miles of occasionally hilly and technical terrain around Hazelbury Manor and Box valley. Includes a few sections on quiet roads.

As part of the preparations for Hazelbury Hurrah! 2022 we regularly check the race routes. This has identified a change of gate arrangements early on in the main race that could lead to a bottleneck of runners building up and spilling on to a road at a bend. To remove that bottleneck, and with participants’ safety forefront in our mind, we have decided to re-route the course. In doing so, we have also taken the opportunity to take the same route back through Quarry Hill Woods (to simplify slightly the route and signage / marshalling requirements). The change of route slightly increases the amount of road/tarmac by around 150 metres. However, the route change does not alter the total distance or character of the course substantially.

Junior Route: 2KM, off road, flat, through the field and adjacent woods

The revised route for the main race in 2022 is shown on the maps below
