Hertfordshire Half Marathon
This road closed half marathon will start and finish at the iconic Knebworth House, with the course taking participants around the surrounding traffic free country roads of Hertfordshire. Included in the entry is a themed medal, t-shirt, refreshments and much more!
Knebworth House is a grade II listed house set in acres of beautiful gardens and parkland. The grounds are home to popular tourist attractions including an adventure playground and dinosaur trail.

Knebworth House & Park are accessed direct from the Junction 7 roundabout of the A1(M) motorway at Stevenage South, 29 miles North of London. There are signs on both carriageways of the motorway. If you are using a Sat Nav use the post code of the Stevenage Novotel at Junction 7 – SG1 2AX – not the Knebworth House post code.
The nearest rail station is Stevenage. There is a taxi rank at the station. Non-stop Inter-City and local services run to Stevenage station from London’s Kings Cross station around every 30 minutes. There are also frequent Inter-City connections on the East Coast main line from Cambridge, York, Leeds, Newcastle, Edinburgh and Glasgow.

What is the course like?
The course starts at majestic Knebworth House and continues through traffic free country roads. Expect a varied run with hills throughout and as well as a hill finish.
Can I wear headphones during the race?
No specific information around headphones has been provided by the organisers. If you do wear headphones whilst racing please ensure that you are able to hear other runners as well as the event officials to ensure everyone’s safety.
