Starting at 10:00

Organiser's Description

--- Booking for this event has been stopped due to ongoing concerns regarding Coronavirus. The race organiser will be in touch with you in due course if you have made a booking for this event. ---

Get an insight into what went on 'Behind the Wire' at Oxfordshire's most formidable Cold War Airbase.

Set in the beautiful Cherwell Valley countryside, Standard and Sprint distance events both utilise the base's runway, RAF taxiway and NATO taxiway and are therefore pancake flat, traffic-free and pretty much PB guaranteed! Something for the whole family and a safe environment for spectators, with refreshments and plenty of history around you!

The duathlon is part of a multi-sport weekend at Heyford Airbase over the 20/21 June 2020. Following on from the Duathlon, on Sunday 21 June we will also hold a running festival, with 5K, 10K or Half Marathon distances - all equally good for those venturing into racing, moving up a distance or just trying to improve times.
