High Hills of Hedgehope Half Marathon

Ingram, Northumberland

Ingram, Alnwick, UK

Sun 13th January 2019

Organiser's Description

This is a proper Winter fell race where conditions could vary from a clear Winter's day to a howling wind with sleet and snow. The route takes a direct path up to the summit of the magnificent Hedgehope, the second highest in the Cheviots. You’ll pass the rugged Cunyan Crags, fight through the bogs of Dunmoor and finally climb the rocks near the top to reach the summit. To finish things off you may well be dumped into the tropical River Breamish. All just to clean your shoes of course.

This slightly mad run starts in Ingram in Northumberland, and is an ideal opportunity to take on an extreme event in the knowledge that a safety team will be on hand to keep an eye on you. All you need to do is get out there and run!
