With it’s miles of woodland trails, High Lodge is a perfect location for trail running, and a perfect getaway from the stresses of life. Every trail leads to something different to explore, with endless potential to spot wildlife.
We are really excited to be able to offer guided runs in this fantastic location, and can’t wait to show you around the brilliant trails.

What pace will we be running at?
All our evets are run at a social pace, and you will be placed in a group with runners of similar ability

Will I need trail shoes?
The forest is quick drying, and road shoes will be fine

Do I have to have run 10k before?
Absolutely not, our events are suitable for all abilities
what will I need?
We will be running on a variety of terrain from hard-packed trails, to single track trails through woods. Trail shoes would be recommended, but road shoes will be OK if that is all you have.
Waterproof jacket and depending on the weather sun cream
At least 500ml of water and as many snacks as you think you’ll need.
Most importantly a willingness to enjoy the trails and have fun.
What pace will we be running at?
You will be put into a group based on your ability.
All runs are led at a conversational pace, ESCAPE trails events are about taking in the scenery and enjoying the trails, not racing. Please be aware that you may not be the slowest person in your group, and you may need to run at a slower pace than normal.
Experience Level? Easy These runs are suitable for anyone that’s been running on the road, and is now taking their first steps in to trail running. The terrain will be mostly flat, with very few obstacles. They are also suitable for anyone that is looking for a nice relaxed run, where they can just enjoy the trails without having to worry about pace.
