One of the eastern Italy's most popular beach resorts, Cervia, located in the region of Emilia-Romagna in Italy, hosts an end of season spectacle thanks to the IRONMAN and IRONMAN 70.3 Emilia-Romagna race weekend features rolling countryside and historic city centre highlights, a must-do on the calendar.
The adventure starts on the beach of Cervia, where athletes enter the Adriatic Sea. The bike course starts on the promenade of Cervia and leads through the countryside of Romagna for one lap. Be sure to take a moment and marvel at the pink flamingos in the picturesque Natural Park of Salt Pans. Finally, the flat three-loop run course offers beautiful views of Cervia and Milano Marittima. Athletes will pass the centre of Cervia and run by the city's historic and iconic salt warehouse, before making their way to the finish line.
