Austria holds a special place in the history of IRONMAN, and the legacy continues as the city of Graz becomes home to the latest and one of the most anticipated events in Europe – IRONMAN 70.3 Graz. Located about 200 km to the South of Austria’s national capital, Vienna, Graz boasts a rich history of architecture, culture and educational institutions, with a historic Unesco World Heritage city centre.
The swim takes place at the Schwarzlsee. The bike course takes athletes to the Styrian countryside, to St. Oswald where the steepest climb awaits. They will be in for a fast journey to the "Schlossberg" of Graz, and on to the Passamtswiese to transition. The run in the historic city centre of Graz takes in magnificent buildings on the opera boulevard, and follows the river to the finish line with a scenic view of the Schlossberg.
