Organiser's Description

The ancient fishing village of Cervia hosts the first Made-in-Italy IRONMAN, a spectacular race that takes place along the coastal Emilia-Romagna region flanked by the Adriatic Sea. Swim, bike and run through Emilia-Romagna's historic scenery.

The adventure starts when ahletes enter the the wonderful waters of the Adriatic Se from the central beach of Cervia. They then pass through the Natural Park of Salt Pens of Cervia, the natural habitat of pink flamingos, and cycle for 180km surrounded by history and nature. Finally, the marathon takes them through Cervia and Milano Maritime’s most prominent landmarks, leading them to the finish line.
