A venue with steep triathlon history: swim in the Mediterranean, bike through the Alps, run along Nice's historic waterfront. Athletes begin with a beach start at the Plage du Centenaire and embark on a two-loop swim in the pristine waters of the Mediterranean. The one-loop bike course is arguably one of the most spectacular and challenging in all of IRONMAN as athletes make their way through the hinterland of Nice and through the beautiful villages of the Parc Naturel des PréAlpes d’Azur. The four-loop run takes athletes along the legendary Promenade des Anglais. Be prepared for a hot run in the sun as you head out to Nice Airport and back to the finish line located directly next to the beach.
