Organiser's Description

The race will start on the promenade at Laxey, on the East coast of the Isle of Man. The first 'waypoint' is the sea itself and contestants should put a hand (or more!) in the water in order to truly claim the Sea-to-Summit. The race ends 14 km later atop Snaefell, the highest mountain on the Isle of Man, at 2,034 feet above sea level. The summit is crowned by a railway station and a cafe, with open views across the valley to the hills of your recent toils, where trams will be available to bring runners back to Laxey. Your race number qualifies you for a free ride back- you've earnt it!
