Itinerary
Our 7 day / 6 night trips run every week from March to May. Our basic itinerary is the same every week mixing classic climbs with lesser known local routes - all led by our expert team. We have two route & speed options each day. All our rides are in small groups together on the flat, and climb at our own pace with a ride leader and a support van for each group, so all you need to think about is the ride.
Day One - Monday
Coffee Spin
Our mechanic is at the hotel to help build bikes and to fit rentals. For those that want a coffee spin, we run a short 30km spin to Pollensa and back. In the evening we have our welcome meal at 7.30 where our guides will talk through the week.
Day Two - Tuesday
Petra or Randa
Everyday we have two route choices in the same area of the island. Today is all about getting our legs ready for the week ahead and is a flat day, exploring the beautiful middle of Mallorca. The shorter option is 70km to Sineu and Petra, and the longer option is 110km going down to Randa with one climb, the stunning Puig Randa with views across the entire island.
Day Three - Wednesday
Soller / Puig Major
Into the mountains for the first time. The long ride is 138km of classic climbs. We start with the beautiful Col d'Honor and then the Col de Soller before taking on the longest climb on the island - Puig Major. Three of the best climbs in Mallorca. The shorter ride is 110km including the Col d'Honor.
Day Four - Thursday
Sa Calobra
Both groups do the same 113km route today just at different speeds. The ride centres on the toughest climb on the island: Sa Calobra. We leave a bit earlier than normal and ride to Selva before going up past Lluc to the top of Sa Calobra before the road gets busy with traffic. After a thrilling descent it's a big effort back up and then a lovely descent to lunch in Port de Pollensa and home.
Day Five - Friday
Hermitage
An easier day sandwiched between three big rides. 95km which we ride all together at a relaxed pace along the coast and then take on one easy climb up to the hermitage at Betlem before spinning home via the inland route. Then a nice relaxed afternoon by the pool or beach before the big ride tomorrow.
Day Six - Saturday
Queen Stage: Andratx to Port d'Alcudia
The Queen Stage. One of the World's best one day rides following the Ma-10 all the way from Andratx to Port d'Alcudia along the coast and over four climbs. We leave the hotel at 8am and get a transfer down to the start. We have feed stations set up along the way and our guides will set a relaxed pace to make this day perfect. 123 km.
Day Seven - Sunday
Cap Formentor
Before we leave, an early morning 60km spin to the cafe at Cap Formentor. A classic Mallorcan route on rolling terrain with some spectacular scenery.
The Climbs
Sa Calobra
The big one and the toughest climb on Mallorca. An engineering triumph, the road snakes through the mountains to the beach. A thrilling descent and challenging cllimb. Sa Calobra is a one way down and up road to the beach. This is best ridden early or late (both in the season & in the day) as it can be busy with tourist coaches. The 9.5km climb is steady with a 7% gradient most of the way up so you can find a rhythm and spin to the top where you are rewarded with great orange juice and cake!
",Puig Major (Soller)
At 14km, this is the longest climb on the island. Out of Soller you climb with big valley views below you on gentle gradients of between 5 & 7%. In the middle of the climb there is a flatter section before it kicks up a bit again at the end. The road winds up the mountain all the way until you reach the tunnel and great views to both sides. The tunnel is lit but you might want to bring lights for this short section for extra visability for motorists.
