A dark start though the windblown wooded lowland, a 2,400-feet ascent to Chichee pass and sweeping views of Hovsgol National Park and its alpine lake, one of the largest single bodies of drinkable fresh water in the world.
Mongolia Sunrise to Sunset is organised on a non-profit basis and all proceeds are used to support a variety of preservation projects in Hovsgol National Park and in selected other national parks in Mongolia.
