Remembrance Sunday November 2024

Colchester, Brightlingsea, Essex

Sun 10th November 2024

Starting at 09:30

Organiser's Description

Join us on for a special Remembrance Sunday event filled with a unique and unforgettable atmosphere. At 11 am, November 10th, 2024, we will observe a moment of silence within the race, giving everyone the chance to pause and honor the military personnel who have sacrificed their lives for our country. As in the past six years, we will feature live performances of the Last Post and Reveille before the race, accompanied by a two-minute silence.

THE COURSE

This undulating, traffic-free looped trail offers you the flexibility to run a marathon or choose your distance within a 6-hour time frame. Each loop measures 10.54 km (6.55 miles), requiring two laps for a half marathon and four laps for a full marathon. If you're up for more, the clock will be your only limit!

AID STATION

You'll find an aid station at the end of every lap and approximately at the 5 km mark. This means you can refuel without carrying all your supplies. You can leave a bag with your specific needs at the aid station or opt for the flapjacks, sweets, fruits, nuts, water, and squash provided.

This fast, lapped course is an excellent opportunity for runners of all abilities. There's no need to carry extra gear, and you can earn a unique, bespoke medal. UKA Affiliated Member & Race Permit issued by TRA; it's also a 100 Club qualifying event.

RUN ROUTE

The race kicks off outside The Batemans Tower Café, Promenade Way, Brightlingsea, Essex, CO7 0HH.
