Organiser’s Description

Now established as a trail classic, the half marathon has been extended to include a full marathon and marathon relay. The marathon is demanding, taking in Rivington Pike then Winter Hill before returning to Rivington Pike to join back into the half marathon route, which runs up onto the side of the Rivington Reservoirs. The views of the reservoirs and the bleakness of moors make for a beautiful, if demanding, run.
