FAQs

  • Is there a bag drop?

Unsecured baggage storage will be available at the Cramond Kirk Hall. The race organisers take no responsibility for any items stored before, during or after the race.

  • Will there be a race briefing?

There will be a race safety brief given to all runners 5 minutes before each wave to go over any safety issues and give the opportunity for runners to ask any questions.

  • Can I run with a buggy?

This route is not suitable for buggy running.

  • Can I run with a dog?

Unfortunately our insurance will not cover this.

Registration

To reduce the number of person to person interactions, all participants will receive an email with a time slot for your start wave registration (to collect your race number, safety pins and timing chip). The REGISTRATION AREA will be in the grounds of the Cramond Kirk Hall, EH4 6NT.

Start Waves & Times

Each start wave will be allocated a designated area before their race starts and you will be brought from this area to the start line by a marshal. Each wave will have approx 50 runners. For safety reasons please do not swap timing chips or numbers with other participants, if you are involved in a medical situation we can use your chip information to get you the help you need.

The waves are staggered according to the estimated finish times you have provided on your entry form. Please do not try to swap into a different wave to the one you have been allocated as this will mess up the timing system. If you need to swap then please contact Cat at [email protected] as soon as possible.

  • It will NOT be possible to swap you on the day.

Water stops

There will be water stations at mile 1.5 and mile 11.5 however please carry enough water and fuel as you think you will need. Littering of bottles and gel sachets along the route will result in disqualification.

Post race social & refreshments

Sadly we will have to ask you to move on from the FINISH AREA once you have your medal however there is a new café at the Kirk Hall, The Gathering Space, which will be open for our finishers to buy at bacon roll, coffee, tea or cake! They are serving from the hatch so go grab a well deserved post race treat!

Race results, Prize giving & medals

Official race results will be emailed out to all finishers on race day, it may take a few hours to process them all so please bear with us.
Medals will be given to all finishers at the FINISH AREA.

Toilets

We have the use of the Cramond Kirk Hall facilities but please bear in mind that this will likely have a long queue and to plan accordingly.
