Join findarace.com for the exciting Severn Mile Swim on Sunday 21st August 2016 in Shrewsbury, Shropshire. Swimmers of all levels are welcome to take part in this open water event, with the option to wear wetsuits or not. The race kicks off at the Welsh Bridge, leading participants to the Kingsland Bridge, and concludes with a challenging 400m swim against the river's current to reach the Pengwern boathouse. Choose from 700m or 1500m distances and enjoy a thrilling day of swimming in the beautiful River Severn.
Organiser's Description
This open water even will see swimmers, with or without wetsuits, making their way from Shrewsbury's Welsh Bridge to the Kingsland Bridge, followed by a gruelling 400m swim against the flow of the river to finish at the Pengwern boathouse. Choice of 700m or 1500m swims.
