Itinerary

The first two nights are at the foot of Etna, followed by two nights on the North coast in lovely Cefalu on the beach, before returning back to Etna for the last two nights and rides through the middle of the island. We spend most of our time off the beaten path, in small Sicilian villages, but also ride through famous sites including Taormina.

Day One - Sunday

Castiglione di Sicilia

Arrival day. Our mechanics are on hand to build bikes or set up rentals. We go for a short 49km afternoon for those arriving on the early transfers.

Day Two - Monday

Castiglione di Sicilia

The Godfather Day: after a nice relaxing morning we meet up at 9.30am for a 9.45am rollout. Today's 107km ride goes down to Taormina and then inland to the villages where the Godfather was set. After coffee and cake we head back to the hotel for mid afternoon for some relaxation before dinner.

Day Three - Tuesday

Castiglione di Sicilia to Cefalu

Today we ride 135 km along the North coast to Cefalu. Bags are packed before breakfast and a rollout at 9am. We grab lunch with a glorious view over Stromboli and the med and arrive in our resort on the ocean for mid afternoon.

Day Four - Wednesday

Cefalu

An easy 80km day today in the hills around Cefalu. We roll out at 10am and should be back by 2pm for an afternoon to check out Cefalu.

Day Five - Thursday

Cefalu to Castiglione di Sicilia

The longest ride of the week at 147km. We head back to the foothills of Etna via the middle of the island. After a flat start we climb to 1,000m and then ride over rolling terrain until we get back to our original hotel.

Day Six - Friday

Castiglione di Sicilia

Another shorter day. We have two options for the ride, for those wanting one last climb we ascend Etna from the classic side - 66km. For everyone else we finish with a 60km flat route with a great lunch in a local restaurant.
