Silverdale Circuit

Milnthorpe, Cumbria

Church Street, Milnthorpe LA7 7FF, UK

Sat 15th February 2020

Organiser's Description

Comparatively low level, this stunning, undulating 21 mile course is eminently runnable. But don't let that fool you, it's still a challenging route.

Starting from Milnthorpe the route will take you to places that even many locals don't get to see. You will pass through Dalham Deer Park, onwards to Leighton Moss Nature Reserve, where you could spot a hunting peregrine falcon, then on to Hawes Water and the stunning coastline. An ascent of Arnside Knott follows before an opportunity to climb the Fairy Steps, where you will have a wish granted if you reach the top without touching the sides! If this doesn't sound magical enough, the summits offer outstanding views of Morecambe Bay and the Lakes.
