Get ready for an unforgettable weekend of athleticism and fun at the Cholmondeley Castle Triathlon & Multisport, hosted by Castle Race Series! Taking place from Saturday, June 21 to Sunday, June 22, 2025, in the stunning grounds of Cholmondeley Castle in Malpas, Cheshire, this event offers something for everyone. Participants of all ages, from 9 to 90, can choose from a wide variety of race distances, including Triathlon, Duathlon, Aquabike, Aquathlon, Run, and Swim events. Whether you're a first-timer or a seasoned pro, you can compete solo or with friends in exciting relay options, including the popular Mixed Team Relay triathlon.

Set against the backdrop of the historic Cholmondeley Castle—home to the Cholmondeley Family since the 12th Century—athletes will enjoy a picturesque open-water swim in Deer Park Mere and rewarding views from Tower Hill, the highest point of the run routes. Organiser's Description

Whether you’re 9 or 90 years old, a first-timer or seasoned athlete, choose from a plethora of distances in Triathlon, Duathlon, Aquabike, Aquathlon, Run and Swim races. Sign up as an individual or with a team of friends in one of our relays or the infamous Mixed Team Relay triathlon event!

This castle has been home to the Cholmondeley Family since the 12th Century. Its grounds feature Deer Park Mere which is a beautiful setting for our open-water swim races. To the south of the Castle lies Tower Hill, the highest point of the run routes, where athletes are rewarded with panoramic views of the Beeston and Peckforton Hills.

Throughout the weekend, athletes and spectators will be able to enjoy a fun-packed festival village featuring live music, shopping, food and drink, children’s entertainment, yoga and more.

Parking

Follow the yellow event car parking signs as you approach the venue to ensure you are taken to the correct location. Car parks are free and in fields adjoining the race village so just a few minutes' walk to the venue!

This is a British Triathlon permitted event.
If you are taking part in a triathlon or multisport event you are required to provide your race licence or obtain a BTF Race Pass.
