The Castle Run Series - Belvoir Castle

We thrilled to add a new jewel to our Castle crown! Belvoir Castle’s history dates back to the eleventh century. It is the ancestral home of the Duke of Rutland, where the family have lived in an unbroken line for almost a thousand years. Join us at our multisport event weekend. Pick your discipline - triathlon, duathlon, aquabike, aquathlon, swim and run - and choose a distance from starter to elite. Recruit your friends and celebrate completing your challenge in our festival village.

Crowning a hill, the Belvoir Castle’s turrets and towers rise over the Vale of Belvoir like an illustration in a romantic fairy-tale. The name Belvoir – meaning ‘beautiful view’ in French, and pronounced today as ‘beaver’ – dates back to Norman times.

Four castles have stood on this spot since 1067, and it’s a pretty perfect location for a fortified castle. Looking over the battlements from the North Terrace of the current Castle, you can see for miles over the counties of Nottinghamshire, Leicestershire and Lincolnshire. And on a clear day, you can even see Lincoln Cathedral, some 30 miles to the North East.

This multisport weekend event at Belvoir Castle will host a huge range of races for all ages and abilities. Recommended for both beginners and seasoned athletes.

Whether you’re 9 or 90 years old, a first-timer or an elite, you can pick from our triathlon, duathlon, aquabike, aquathlon, run and swim races. You can also race with a team of friends in one of our relays options!
