Medium Route: 105km, 1451m
A lumpy but rewarding 100km route in the heart of the Chilterns .We set out near the Thames in Goring Heath and roll north to Watlington where the climbing really begins. The bulk of the elevation is in the punchy middle 60km of this route as we head over Hill Road, Chinnor Hill and the very steep climbs in Princess Risborough including the Top 100 climb of Whiteleaf.
We then head back home through stunning backroads before a lovely rolling last 15km and a well earned medal at the end.
PHYSICAL DIFFICULTY: 2/5
Long Route: 161km, 2291m
The long route is a super punchy day out in the Chilterns. After a rolling first 35km to get the legs ready, the middle 110km is packed with climbs of all shapes and sizes from the very steep Whiteleaf to the gradual Ivinghoe Beacon. The extra loop on the long route from Princess Risborough towards Wendover and beyond is very challenging with almost no flat sections.
After another lumpy section through beautiful backroads, we skirt round Henley for a lovely 15km rolling finish.
RIDE DIFFICULTY: 3/5
