Β

Whilst COVID-secure measures remain in place,Β the event hub will beΒ locatedΒ next to The Broad Walk Cafe.Β Once restrictions are relaxed, events are expected to be located at The Hub.Β Please always check any pre-race communication as the location can change at late notice.

Β

Returning with COVID-safe measures - including waved arrivals and start times - this is your chance to experience a glorious Royal Park run after a year of solo running.

Β

Proudly holding London's most popularΒ 10K in a park setting, you'll quickly see why more than 100,000 finishers have chosen The Regent's Park with its beautiful landscape and great race atmosphere. Those looking for a lighter challenge can join us for our summer 5K events and, if a 10K isn't challenging enough, maybeΒ our autumn Half Marathon is suitable!Β Participants shouldΒ note that, withΒ a 2-hour limit, the Half Marathon is recommended for intermediate runners only.

Β

Running alongside London Zoo, lucky runners will spot camels, giraffes (or even some big cats!), while other sections of the course take you past the tranquil boating lake, floral gardens and centuries-old statues and monuments.

Β

With acres of open space for relaxing and recovering with friends,Β you'll be able to make a great trip out to celebrate one of your fastestΒ 10K times,Β recorded by chip-timingΒ on this official measured course.

Β

There's no finish line feeling quite like The Regent's Park!

Β

COVID-19 Mitigation

Β

These measures, together with other Covid-related requirements at our events, may be subject to revision in response to any change in the current public health guidance issued by the government or regulatory bodies.

Β

NHS Test and Trace will be in operation at our events. Participants will be requiredΒ to complete a health declaration prior to arrival and to check-inΒ where possibleΒ using the NHS COVID-19 app (available to download in advance forΒ iOSΒ orΒ Android). Any information obtained will be held for 21 days after an event only and will not be used for any other purpose. Participants may not be permitted on site if they fail to follow this process, the full details ofΒ which will be communicated in the week leading up toΒ an event.

Β

One-way navigation and social distancing signage will be present onΒ site to facilitate adherence to official guidance. Queue markers must be observed at all times and sanitisation stations used as frequently as necessary.

Β

Unless there have been any changes following communication of the final pre-event information, there will be no event briefing on the day. Participants should read the communication thoroughly to familiarise themselves with the event details.

Β

Participants will start individually at 10-15 second intervals to maintain social distancing, with a recommended 15-minute arrival window allocated and communicated prior to the event.Β Participants from the same household/bubble will be permitted to start together (if participating in the same distance/category) and should follow the relevant instructions to arrive and/or start at the later of any times communicated (if different).Β Whilst running, participants should only overtake when there is enough room (at least 1m) to do so.

Β

Once finished, participants should continue moving and follow signage and marshal directions to keep the area clear for other finishers. Any post-event rewards (medal, water etc.)Β will be self-service (following hand-sanitisation) to ensure there is no contact amongst staff and participants.

Β

Participants are asked to review theΒ UKA Participant Code of ConductΒ prior to their arrival.

Β

Event Details

Β

The RouteΒ is generally flat, on tarmac paths, and consists of 3-laps around the park.

Β

Bib NumbersΒ will only be available for collection at each event, participants should not expect to receive anything by mail.

To be fastened to the front of your top using safety pins provided, your number should remain visible at all times. A timing chip is attached to the back of the bib andΒ should not be removed.

Β

ResultsΒ will be uploaded live to our website (internet connection permitting) andΒ communicated to all pre-registered participants within 24 hours of each event.

Β

All finishers willΒ receive aΒ MedalΒ on completing their event and,Β subject to a competitive field of participants,Β PrizesΒ will be awarded to the top three places overall - and the top place in each of the veteran categories (V40/V50/V60/V70) - for both females and males. Winners will be notified by email by the end of the following week.

Β

Series Entry/Qualification

In order to satisfy eligibility requirements for the London Parks Series Grand Prix, participants must finish all 3 of the available 10K or 5K series races, each of which will then be used to calculate final positions (determined with respect to the highest cumulative score).

Β

Cumulative scoresΒ will be calculated by automatically matching a participant’s name, gender, and date of birth, and allocating points with respect to their final position at each event. It is the responsibility of each participant to ensure the details they provide during registration are consistent for all events throughout the series, and to notify our event timing partner as soon as possible where a discrepancy is identified.

Β

Participants will be allocated 50pts for 1st, 49pts for 2nd, …, 2pts for 49thΒ and 1pt for 50th+ for each individual event.

Β

Categories will be determined using a participant's age on the 31stΒ December of the calendar year in which the first event of the series takes place.

Β

Prizes will be awarded to the top three places overall, and the top place in each of the veteran categories (V40/V50/V60/V70) for both females and males. Winners will be notified via email within two weeks of the final event where a presentation is not possible on the day, and once results are considered final.

Β

In the event of a tie-break, the higher position will be awarded to the participant that has attended more events, then by age category (oldest first).

Β

MarshalsΒ will be present on the course throughout each event.

Β

Course Markings, including arrows, tape and distance markers, will be visible on the courseΒ where necessary.

Β

PacersΒ will not be offered at these events.

Β

Participants must provide, during registration, details of any pre-existing medical conditions, disabilities, medication or allergies that may be relevant in the administration of any medical assistance. Great fun atmosphere, friendly organisers, and lovely route through one of the best parks in London! I don't know why more people didn't do it! The price was quite high but it doesn't matter for a one off.

Very average for the cost. The run itself was nice and flat on very even terrain. however the run was badly signmarked. it was alongside a 10km race which led to very confusing signs on distance ran. Seemed quite a lot for Β£17, very few things after the event to enjoy as well.
