Organiser's Description

The Tokyo Marathon has joined the ranks of World Marathon Majors, alongside London, Boston, Berlin, Chicago and New York, as a member of this exclusive club, having reached maturity incredibly quickly. Runners have two reasons to travel: one is for the race, of course, but the second is to experience running in a different culture - there are few cultural experiences that are so discernibly different to the UK than Japan. It's a fast course in a fascinating city, symbolising the past, present and the future of Tokyo.

In preparation for this event, the Tokyo Marathon Foundation is carefully reviewing plans that will adhere to the situation surrounding COVID-19.
