The 100k Lakeland Trails Ultra returns for 2019 with its midnight start and takes the Challenge to a new, but achievable level for a truly memorable journey, encompassing the finest trails the Lake District has to offer.
The testing 55k course goes through some of the most dramatic mountain scenery in the Lake District. The tough, challenging course will certainly live up to its billing as the most picturesque ultra marathon in the UK. The route includes 3 mountain passes with 7,000 ft ascent/descent, along with 5 memorable feed stations.
Starting and finishing in Ambleside, both routes takes in a complete circuit of the central Lake District, along well marked and marshalled footpaths and bridleways. 23k and 14k Ultimate Trails courses utilise much of the final section of the 55k course, for those wanting a shorter trail run option.
