For those looking for a slightly shorter journey, the Two Peak route spans 13.5 miles and focuses on Buckden Pike and Great Whernside. If you prefer a more leisurely outing, the 4.5-mile Valley walk is perfect for families and those looking to enjoy a scenic stroll along the Dalesway path by the River Wharfe to the charming village of Starbotton. Whichever route you choose, you’re sure to be captivated by the breathtaking views and the camaraderie of fellow adventurers in this unforgettable challenge!

Organiser's Description

Organised by the Upper Wharfedale Fell Rescue Association (UWFRA) The Wharfedale Three Peaks Challenge has three options to choose from, all starting and ending in Kettlewell Village.

The Three and Two Peak routes: 22 miles, Birks Fell, Buckden Pike, Great Whernside; 13.5 miles, Buckden Pike, Great Whernside, are open to runners and walkers and offer spectacular views over Upper Wharfedale and surrounding Yorkshire Dales towards the well known Yorkshire Three Peaks in Ribblesdale.

Also 4.5 mile Valley walk suitable for families and those wanting an easier day follows the Dalesway path up the River Wharfe to the village of Starbotton.
