The Wild Wine Run is UK's first Wine Run Series!, and let's cap the season off back where we started, at the lovely Walton Brook Vineyard in Burton on the Wolds, Loughborough. Last event of the season, with the vines full of leaves and grapes! You'll run, sip some wine during the course, then enjoy a wine tasting at the end. English wines are award-winning and emerging, why not try them?

Will run for wine. Having turned up to this event as a lone runner, I was delighted to discover such a welcoming, friendly event set in such beautiful surroundings. A challenging run with alternating inclines /declines as the course, in parts, weaves up and down the rows of vines. If you pass up the wine half way round for water, then you still get rewarded with wine tasting at the end! Brilliant facilities at the start / end point, benches made of hay bales, family and dog friendly, well priced food and runner prizes aplenty! The only reason this gets a 4 is due to the run distance falling slightly short as measured by my watch (mirrored by that from others too.) Besides this, I can't wait to return and run the vines again!

I'm sorry for the distance issue. I did check the course but apparently my stopping and go might have skewed the overall gps count. I'll definitely make sure it's correct next time. We strive to make everything great so we'll put that on top of our list for next time.
