Newcastle upon Tyne, Tyne and Wear

Organiser’s Description

Part of the Cyclone Festival of Cycling, the Cyclone Challenge is now recognised as one of the premier cycling events in the UK. Attracting riders from both inside and outside the UK, the event consists of four rides of 34, 64, 90 and 106 miles, and is designed to cater for all ages and abilities. The rides all go out into rural Northumberland on very quiet and scenic roads, with small villages offering lots of opportunities for refreshment. The routes have been slightly revised for 2016 to avoid the bottleneck in Ponteland, and instead go out through Dinnington and up Berwick Hill. A 90 mile ride has been added for 2016 for those who don't quite feel up to tackling 106 miles.
