Join us for the exhilarating Allerthorpe Junior Aquathlon on Sunday, July 7th, 2019, set against the picturesque backdrop of Allerthorpe Lakeland Park in York, East Riding of Yorkshire. This exciting event, a highlight of the Freebird calendar since 2018, invites young athletes aged 8 and up to dive into a safe and well-organized open water experience. Participants can look forward to competing in a vibrant atmosphere, with the junior aquathlon kicking off right after the senior triathlon in the morning. The event features four age categories, allowing teens aged 15 and 16 to even join in on the senior triathlon. Bring the whole family along to celebrate the joy of sport amidst the stunning scenery of Allerthorpe Park!
Organiser's Description
This was a new addition to the Freebird calendar in 2018, and takes place at the Allerthorpe Lakeland Park, near York.The event stays entirely within the grounds of the Park, giving Juniors from the age of 8yrs upwards the opportunity to take part in a very safe and well organised open water event, at a stunning venue.
With the senior triathlon in the morning, and the junior aquathlon taking place straight after, the Allerthorpe Triathlon weekend offers the whole family an opportunity to enjoy and experience this exciting sport. There are 4 age categories in the junior event, 15/16 year olds are able to take part in the senior event.
