Join us for the Media City Half Marathon on Sunday 21st February 2027

Come and join us for the return of the Media City Half Marathon. This road-closed Half Marathon delivers a flat, fast course designed for confident pacing and PB attempts. Starting and finishing at Media City UK, the route combines city roads around Salford and Eccles with footpaths around Salford Quays for a varied and engaging race day.

Expect clear mile markers, enthusiastic marshals throughout, and a supportive atmosphere from start to finish. With wide roads and open waterfront sections, the course offers great viewing points for friends and family.

Parking

There is no specific event parking for the event. Entry into the Media City multistorey car park will close at 8.30am due to road closures, we advise arriving before 8am if you plan to use this car park as there will likely be queues on arrival. We recommend using the Lowry Outlet car park which is a short walk from the venue and is outside of the road closure area.

MINIMUM AGES
17 Years and above

BAGGAGE
We will have a secure marquee where you can leave your baggage. We recommend you bring as little baggage as possible. Your baggage tag is attached to your race number, you simply tear it off and attach to your bag. To collect, show your number to our staff and they will help you find your baggage.

TOILETS
There will be portable toilets available within the event village. Due to the 2-lap nature of the course, you will also be able to access these toilets during the race.

REFRESHMENTS
There will be water stations at approximately 2.5, 4.5, 6.5, 9.5 and 12 miles. There will also be water available at the finish along with your post race goodies and medal.

  • Spectators are more than welcome, we advise staying in the event village where you will be able to catch the start & finish. If you choose to go out onto the course, please be aware of the road closures in place.
