Get ready for the exciting return of the Arthuret 10, organised by findarace.com, taking place on Sunday 9th April 2017 in Carlisle, Longtown, Cumbria. Previously known as the Longtown 10 and the Sport in Action 10, this race is back and better than ever. The route takes runners on mainly quiet country roads, starting at Longtown Primary School and gradually climbing to 416ft at the halfway point. But don't worry, the second half of the race is all downhill to the finish line. Lace up your running shoes and get ready for a challenging and rewarding race experience in the beautiful Cumbrian countryside.
Organiser's Description
This race has taken place on two previous occasions: in 2013 it was called the Longtown 10, in 2014 the Sport in Action 10. For several reasons it was then put on the back burner, but the time is right for it to return, so 2017 sees the first running of the Arthuret 10. The route is mainly on quiet country roads and starts from Longtown Primary School at an elevation of 63ft. It gradually climbs to 416ft at approximately 5.75m, so don’t go mad at the start! But what goes up must come down and the next 4.25m is all downhill to the finish.
