FAQs
Can I enter on the day? No, unless otherwise stated.
How do I know if I am registered? All entries will receive e-mail or written confirmation of entry.
Will I receive a Race Pack? Not through the post. Numbers will be distributed at Registration on the day, so that we know how many have started.
Will there be chip timing? Yes, unless numbers are very low.
How frequent are drinks and food stations? Food and drinks at Turn around on Fish Hill; about 4.25 miles. Water on Dovers Hill, midway between start/finish area and Fish Hill turnaround.
Do I need protective clothing? Unlikely. Check Forecast. If very hot, make sure of plenty of Sun cream and head cover, and maybe for arms. Same in case of cold weather, but not likely to be extreme.
Is there any road running? Yes but minimal. Marshalled in crucial spots.
Can I wear headphones? Certainly not on any road involvement, but on trails, they can be worn, but we would prefer you to not use them. There are other people to consider at all times.
Is the event Wheel Chair friendly? No.
Can registered Blind People participate? Not advisable, but possible with a guide. Please let us know beforehand.
Can I have a free Charity entry? No free or reduced price entry for people running for charity.
Can I withdraw my entry because of injury or illness? No refunds operate, but you can defer an entry, no later than 5 days before the event; once only. Transfers to another runner can be arranged for a £7 fee, up to 5 days before the event.
Is the event liable to cancellation in severe weather? Highly unlikely. Every effort will be made to stage the events, because of the nature of the events. Refunds will be sent out in case of cancellation.
Will I need navigational skills? All routes will be signposted as much as possible, and printed instructions will be allocated with crucial contact details. Carry a compass by all means and an Ordnance Survey Map will help, but should not be necessary. OS Explorer 205.
Can I change my distance that I am running on the day? You cannot change up distance, but you can reduce. If you have completed only one loop, you will receive a finisher award.
Can I start early? As long as we are aware you have started, you can start up to an hour earlier, at your own risk. There is unlikely to be any drinks, and marshals may not be in place. On the other hand, it will be quieter, and cooler. Please carry a mobile phone.
