Ayr 3 Castles Duathlon

Doonfoot, Ayr

40 Abbots Way, Ayr KA7 4HJ, UK

Sun 22nd April 2018

Organiser's Description

Arguably one of the most scenic races in the World - set in the heart of Burns country, noted for spectacular views over the West Coast of Scotland and taking in three ancient, stunning castles. Run out and back past Greenan Castle, perched on a sheer cliff, then cycle along the spectacular Ayrshire coastline. On the journey, if you can lift your head, see ancient Dunure Castle, then sweep down to the view of Culzean Castle. If that's not enough, you also get to pedal down (or 'up') the World famous 'Electric Brae' where you'll have to drop down your gears to descend! Finally it's back over the lovely Carrick Hills and into Rabbie Burns' own backyard.
