Organiser's Description

The Baxters River Ness 10K follows a flat, point-to-point course through the historic Highland capital of Inverness alongside the banks of the picturesque River Ness, and is ideal for PB chasers and first timers alike.

Why not make a weekend of it and come with family or friends? There’s plenty to entertain runners and spectators over the weekend with a sports expo, runners' cafe, street food, live music, pipes & drums and family friendly activities.

There's also the Baxters Loch Ness Marathon, 10K Corporate Challenge for teams of 4-6 from the same workplace, River Ness 5K and Wee Nessie kids' race.

Many runners and spectators, choose to stay longer – a huge attraction of the Baxters Loch Ness Marathon and Festival of Running is the area’s natural beauty and wealth of attractions. The area is steeped in history, home to castles, misty mountains and, of course, the Loch Ness Monster.

With a choice of race distances and festival atmosphere, the Festival of Running has something for everyone.
