Bournemouth Marathon Festival

What does entry include?

Your entry fee to the event includes: event participation, an accurate chip timer for the race, a finishers medal, souvenir keyring, finishers t-shirt and a race recovery pack.

What time does the Bournemouth Marathon start?

The marathon start time is 10:00 am on Sunday 6th October

The half marathon starts at 8:00 am with the Supersonic 10k starting at 4:00 pm followed by the Supernova 5k at 7:00 pm

Will I receive an event pack before the race?

All entrants will receive their official event information pack at least 10 days before the event. You will receive an email once the pack is ready with instructions on how to retrieve it online

Can I run for charity?

Absolutely! The event’s official partner charity is Macmillan cancer support, however, you can run for any of the affiliate BMF charities such as Cancer Research UK, Julia’s House or, if you prefer, you can fundraise for any charity of your choice.

Will there be water stations?

Water stations will be set up approximately every 5 km to ensure that all runners can stay hydrated in the 10k, half marathon and marathon events.

Can I wear headphones during the race?

Due to the road closures in place on the day of the event entrants are permitted to wear headphones whilst taking part in the Bournemouth Marathon Festival.

What kit do I need on the day?

• Event Number - This will be posted to you before the event and includes your Timing Chip within it.

• Running shoes :-)
