Bowhill Winter Duathlon Series - Long

Nr. Selkirk, Scottish Borders

Bowhill House, Selkirk TD7 5ET, UK

Sun 4th March 2018

Organiser's Description

Back again for its 16th year, this is a very popular series of low-key, back-to-basics off-road duathlons in the Scottish Borders. The format is usually mountain bike followed by trail run, sometimes the other way round. What the races always are though is muddy and a bit hilly. Bowhill does not disappoint in either of these departments! What better way to motivate your training over the dark Winter months, test your progress, or simply have good muddy, wet and snowy fun. The series is set up for everyone – newbies to internationalists, triathletes, runners, bikers, and people who just like to do ‘stuff'. Come and have a go.

We express course length in expected time taken as distances are meaningless off-road. Climb, surfaces, technical difficulty, weather, snow (!) and mud are all more important. (though for reference, the Long is approx 12k MTB, 9k Trail Run).

Distances

Expected winning time: 40 mins MTB Bike + 40 mins Run
