Organiser's Description
A one mile open water swim in the river Dee is followed by a a 25 mile road leg anticlockwise around Loch Ken, then a 7 mile run on B roads, which, like the cycle route, are not closed to traffic. The terrain is hilly and challenging. Crossmichael is a small village straddling the A713 Castle Douglas to Ayr road, and this is the 13th running of this event.
