Gravity Enduro Ireland Round 1 Ballinastoe, Wicklow

Ballinastoe, Roundwood, Co. Wicklow

Ballinastoe Wood, Ballinastoe, Roundwood, Co. Wicklow

Sat 20th April 2019

Organiser's Description

The 2019 Gravity Enduro Series will see competitors battle it out over five events held around the country, with the winner crowned the best all round rider in Ireland. This is a true test of man and machine as riders tackle all terrains in all weather. The 2019 Series kicks off in Ballinastoe Woods, home to some of the most exhilarating trails on the East coast. Ballinastoe boasts some of the longest stages in the Country and yet has some of the shortest transitions. The trails offer a great challenge for all levels of rider, between technichal ability and pedal power, the faster you go, the harder it gets! Over the years the trails have been adjusted and climbs reduced, feeding the gravity back into the stages. If you haven't tried Enduro racing before, then this could be the one for you.

The course is approximately 25k long and has a number of mainly downhill timed "special stages". There is a Challenger category which is roughly half the distance, ideal for first timers. The main event typically takes 4 hours to complete. 20/21 April.
