Whether you're an experienced marathoner or a casual runner, this event offers a variety of race distances to challenge yourself: choose from the 5k, 10k, half marathon, full marathon, or tackle the ultimate 50k Ultra. For those seeking a unique experience, the 6 Hour Challenge allows you to run as many laps as you can on a 400-meter traffic-free athletics track!
With a start time of 3 PM, participants will enjoy a festive atmosphere that includes stunning fireworks, free parking, and complimentary tea, coffee, and cake for all runners. As you complete your laps, you’ll be cheered on by supporters, and with chip timing and aid stations around the course, you'll have everything you need to stay motivated. Guy Fawkes Gallop
Starting at 3pm as part of the Fireworks Festival of Running, why not come a tackle the track and see how far you can go. This could be the second event of the day. Options include; 5k, 10k, half marathon, full marathon, 50k Ultra or simply keep going for 6 hours.
Do you have it in you to complete your distance on a 400 Metre athletics track?
Here are the Numbers (Based on lane 1)
5k = 12.5 laps
10k = 25 laps
1/2 Marathon = 52.75 Laps
Full Marathon = 105.5 Laps
50k Ultra = 125 Laps
6 Hour Challenge - unlimited Laps

- Traffic free athletics track made for running

- ARC Licence
- Chip Timed event
- See your supporters each lap
- 6 hour cut off time

Registration:
You will need to be at the venue around 30 minutes before your start time which will give you enough time to collect your race number, receive the relevant race briefing and get ready to run.
Race Etiquette
All runners will be running at different speeds so overtaking will be on the right, if you are looking to walk some of the distance, or Jeff for example, we would ask that you take to the outer lanes, it is important that everyone enjoys the event and as we would expect everyone to respect each other accordingly.
It will be dusk not long after the race commences so head torches will be required. As it is bonfire night, we expect the locals to be putting on Fireworks, so potentially a unique experience whilst running the track.
Distance
The distance you run by your watch may vary due to the lap that you run in, we will only be counting the laps and that will dictate the distance covered, therefore if you choose to take the furthest lane out, the distance counted will still be by laps x 400m.
