This popular cycling event offers participants the choice of taking on a challenging 40-mile or 20-mile route through the beautiful landscape, with a 12-mile Mini Beast option also available. The event is not a race, but a fun challenge for cyclists of all ages and abilities, with the goal of finishing and raising money for the Great North Air Ambulance Service. Join us for a day of cycling, fun, and fundraising in the heart of Co Durham!

Organiser's Description

Hamsterley Beast has become the biggest cycle event of any kind to be held in Hamsterley Forest. All set in the heart of Co Durham’s beautiful landscape, the Beast is split into two route lengths this year - 40 miles and 20 miles, both starting and finishing within the Forest. There's also a 12 mile Mini Beast.

This is a challenge, not a race; the challenge is to finish!! The event is open to everyone, young and old, teams and individuals, both serious and fun cyclists. We're all just there to have fun and make some money for the Great North Air Ambulance Service.
