Organiser's Description

Haughley Park 10K is a multi-terrain trail running event that takes place in 250 acres of beautiful Suffolk parkland.

Haughley Park is a privately-owned country estate surrounded by ancient woodlands with excellent trails and a stunning Jacobean manor house at its heart.

The 10K course passes through ancient woodland and forests, around the Manor House itself and across open fields. The trails and paths are well maintained and offer great trail running.

The race starts at 10 am with waves of runners every 15 minutes. Minimum Age 16.

Key Information

The event will fully comply with the most up to date Gov't guidelines available and we will update our procedures as and when necessary. Our commitment to you is to deliver a safe, controlled event you can enjoy. No dogs on site.

All registration is online. No registration on the day.


POSTAL SERVICE

All bib numbers, timing tags and medals will be posted out pre-race. All packets will be made up as far in advance of the event. The persons packing the packets will wear face masks, gloves and use alcohol-based hand gel.


THE COURSE

The course will be wide enough to allow overtaking of at least 1+m spacing. It will be a looped course with a separate start and finish line. Ensuring Runners arriving at the start and
runners who have just finished will not mix.


THE START LINE

All participants will choose a wave start time at the point of registration, with a maximum of 30 runners going every 10 minutes. 2-metre distancing will be required at the start area.
Runners will be asked to present themselves at the start line 2 minutes before their chosen wave. A high vis race clock will display the time.


THE FINISH LINE

When you cross the finish line you can go straight to your car with no interaction with any staff or other runners. Your time will be automatically recorded by ChipTimingUK


MEDIC

A fully trained private medic will be on site.


STAFF

Inspire Races Staff will be clearly visible. It will be our role to ensure that social distancing is adhered to throughout the day. All staff will have face masks, gloves, and hand sanitizer available to them.


WATER STATIONS

There will be NO water stations or refreshments available at the event. You will need to bring your own water supply. There will not be a bag drop.


TOILETS

Portable toilets will be available and will BE
disinfected in line with requirements.


THE START LINE

All participants will be asked to present themselves at the start line 2 minutes before their chosen given a wave start time between 10am - 12pm, with a maximum of 30 runners going every
10 minutes.


THE FINISH LINE

When you cross the finish line you can go straight to your car with no interaction with any staff or other runners. Your time will be automatically recorded by ChipTimingUK

Course Details

The course will be a 10K SINGLE loop. The start line is 400m away from the finish line. The course is mixed terrain with open grassland, track and short tarmac sections and will be clearly marked with fluorescent signs. Once you have completed the run you can head straight to your car.

Facilities

Portable Toilets will be available.

No water stations or refreshments.

Parking will be clearly marked.

There will be no bag drop facilities.
