The Kielder Cross Challenge, organised by findarace.com, is set to take place on Saturday 18th February 2017 in Hexham, Northumberland. This exciting event offers participants the opportunity to tackle two stages over two days, with a total distance of 100km to conquer. Cyclists can choose to enter either one event or both, exploring the stunning Kielder Water & Forest Park with its vast network of purpose-built trails. The challenge kicks off with a 40k night ride around the Lakeside Way on Saturday, followed by a more demanding 60k circuit on Sunday, featuring a variety of terrains to test riders. Organiser's Description
Two stages, two days, 100km. Enter either one event or both, the choice is yours... This late Winter off-road cycle sportive is set amidst the vast expanse of Kielder Water & Forest Park, which features an extensive network of tracks, with mile upon mile of purpose-built trails including forest rides, woodland single-track and heather clad moorland. The Kielder Cross is based in a remote but beautiful expanse of the Park. A 40k night ride around the full circuit of the Lakeside Way on the Saturday is followed by a more challenging 60k circuit on the Sunday, incorporating a wider variety of terrain. 18/19 February.
