Ladybower Trail Marathon

Hope valley, Sheffield

A57, Hope Valley S33 0BJ, UK

Fri 11th June 2021 - Sat 12th June 2021

Starting at 09:30

Organiser's Description

The Ladybower Trail Marathon is set in the idyllic beauty of the Peak District National Park, surrounded by the elevated fells within the Derwent Valley. Described by fellow runners as one of the most scenic trail marathons in the Peak District, this one is not to be missed.

A super fast course with very runnable hard packed trail - but don't get too comfortable, we have thrown in a couple of climbs which take you high up onto the Derwent edges, followed by some great technical descending!

NB - Event date has been changed to Friday 11th June - all entrants should have received an email from the organisers to confirm the new date.

Parking

Please ensure you leave plenty of time before the race starts to park, it can fill up pretty quickly as especially if the weather is good. We recommend using the lay bys on the way down to the main visitors car park as they are free. However, there is a pay and display car park in the main visitor centre also.

Registration

Race Registration will take place from 8.00am. The registration tent is located down by the dam wall, which can seen from the information centre located by the main car park - look out for the signs, it will be well marked.

Feed Stations & Marshalls

The course has water and feed stations at mile 5, mile 10, mile 15 and mile 20. We would highly recommend also carrying some fluids with you, especially if the weather report shows a hot and humid day.

Marshalls will be placed around the course should you require any assistance. Please ensure all race numbers are visible to the marshals as you will need to check in at each feed station on route.

Edale Mountain Rescue Team will also be on hand, should we require them for any medical emergencies.

We are now a cupless organisation on our feed stations. Please bring your own personal cup if required.
