Maverick Buff X Series Peak District

Hope, Derbyshire

The Hopechest, 8 Castleton Rd, Hope, Hope Valley S33 6RD, UK

Sat 16th September 2017

Organiser's Description

Our new Maverick X Series events are designed to test your resolve and take you to the upper limits of your abilities. For this event you will leave the small village of Hope and head out towards Win Hill, an impressive climb with amazing views over the Ladybower Reservoir, where water, woodland, and high moors meet in stunning fashion. From there you will run the edge of the Reservoir, before you tackle Kinder Scout, a high windswept upland gritstone plateau, and Crowden Head, at 631m the highest point in the Peak District. This is the largest and grandest of the great upland areas of the 'Dark Peak' and it forms an imposing and fascinating area. This route has to be seen to believed. 43k, 23k, 14k.
