Race Day FAQs

Are there cut-off times for each section?

Yes, to ensure the smooth & safe organisation of the event, you should be capable of achieving the following cut-off times:

Swim 1hr10, but you have an extra ten minutes to get out of transition onto the bike course

Bike 5 hours 20 minutes after your wave start

Run 9 hours 00 minutes after your wave start

Runners that are clearly not going to finish in time will be asked to stop, although we will do our best to help you finish in time.

You need to be ahead of the cut off at all times, you cannot rely on catching time up later in the course, if you are behind you will be asked to return to the venue

Can I be penalised/disqualified?

You can only receive a penalty or disqualification from a BTF Official. There are motorbike referees on the course. Penalties will be displayed at Race HQ. It is very important to know and understand the rules of the sport, eg:

Do not ride dangerously or draft;

Do not urinate in public, there are plenty of toilets at all feed stations on the course.

Do not drop litter, use the bins provided.

Can I carry a mobile phone on the course?

You can carry mobile phone, but it must not be used in any distractive manner during the race.

Is there any live tracking?

Yes, we will have an athlete tracker on the day. Check our website and newsletters nearer to race day for details of how to access this.

Outstanding. Celebrating 10 years of Outlaw, OSB put on a spectacular anniversary event. Set in the grounds of Thoresby Hall, clear water lake swim, rolling hilly bike course and a fast flowing run route. This was my first half distance Tri and I loved it, thankyou OSB 10/10

Another fab Outlaw. You would never have know this was the first time this event had been held. Fantastic organisation, and amazing support for all taking part, right from the joining instructions to the meal and massage after the event. The setting, Thoresby Hall, and it's grounds are stunning but though enough to make it a definite test of your training! Will be back again next year.
