Oxford, Oxfordshire

Oxford University Parks, South Parks Road, Oxford, United Kingdom

Sun 8th May 2022

Starting at 10:00

Organiser's Description

Oxford Town and Gown is the oldest run in the series. It started in 1982 by local runners as a fun run to raise funds for muscular dystrophy and still to this day all profits from the race go to Muscular Dystrophy UK (MDUK).

2022 will see us celebrate the Town and Gown 40th anniversary! We will be keeping you up to date on how we plan to mark this exciting milestone.

Our unique route is the only closed-road City Centre 10k in Oxford with a glorious stretch along the River Cherwell and finish in the University Parks. In 2019, the run was awarded Best 10k in South East England by the Running Awards.

Course Details

Please note this is the 2021 route and we will update this for 2022 in due course.

Our route takes you through the closed roads of Oxford City Centre and University Parks. You’ll run past many of the beautiful and historic landmarks and University buildings that Oxford has to offer, with marshalling and clear signage throughout. We’ve had to change the route so that it’s one loop and runners don’t lap each other. You may overtake, but please be respectful and give yourself some distance when overtaking.
